Qualification: Associates degree or equivalent college courses in CAD/BIM engineering preferred.
 

Key Responsibilities

The CAD Technician will be responsible for collaborating with various engineering disciplines to layout and design in the areas of process mechanical, civil site development, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and instrumentation and control for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and pipelines. The CAD technician will coordinate CAD/BIM efforts for complex design projects from small to large scale.

• Will use basic computer drafting software to generate report figures and construction drawings.
• Learn new software design programs.
• Become familiar with and follow the firm's practices, procedures, and standards.

• Working towards an Associates degree or equivalent college courses in CAD/BIM engineering preferred or related discipline.
• Basic working knowledge with CAD/BIM Software.
• Experience in the following is considered an asset; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ACC, ProjectWise, and/or Bentley MicroStation.
• Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
• Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, can prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
